The Minnesota Twins who just recently won the AL Central crown are irate with the neighboring franchise the Minnesota Timberwolves for "strategically" placing a large banner promoting their major sponsor SANFORD HEALTH in obvious plan view days before their opening ALDS series.
The Minnesota Twins claimed that this massive advertisement will "distract and obstruct the view of the fans attending the game." The venue in which the advertisement is placed happens to be owned by the Minnesota Timberwolves so the Twins have no legal jurisdiction or authority to force the abysmal NBA franchise to remove the advertisement before the beginning of the ALDS.
Are you kidding me? You're just upset that another franchise (who actually owns that property and is indeed inferior to your franchise) is rising to the occasion and is taking advantage of a premier advertising/marketing opportunity. Do me a favor and worry about the Yankees/Rays. The Timberwolves are the least of your problems.
Well Played Timberwolves, but hopefully that product placement will generate consumer traffic. You make the call. Were the Timberwolves tacky (not talking about their lack of wins last season) or tactful?
